Muyideen Sumonu, A Vagabond Sentenced To Four-hour Community Service

Muyideen Sumonu, a 24- year-old man "area boy" was on Friday arraigned at Tinubu Magistrate court, Lagos for unlawfully blocking public road with intent to extort money from hapless citizens.
When the charge was read, the accused didn't waste the time of the court, he pleaded guilty to the charge.
Th Magistrate, Salama Matepo, said the court had no option than to sentence the accused
since he had admitted
committing the offences.
The accused was accordingly sentenced to a four-hour community service.

The offences the accused was arraigned
are conspiracy, intent to commit felony and intent to steal.

The accused who was not alone in the vagabond activities was arrested on 26th February, 2014 but, his accomplice escaped.

Akeem Adeoye Who allegedly Pushed A man Into a Moving Truck Arraigned, Granted Bail


A tricyclist, who allegedly caused the death of a retired custom officer, Ibukun Oniremi, was on Thursday charged before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
The accused, 25-year-old Akeem Adeoye is facing a charge of manslaughter.
The prosecutor, Insp. George Nwosu said the accused committed the offence on Jan. 20 at 10.00 a.m. on Marwa Road, Ijegun, a Lagos suburb.
