Alhaji Abu Dankure, Gov. Wamako Associate Dies Few Days After Kidnap

Alhaji Abu Dankure, an 86year-old businessman and, a close friend of Gov. Asliyu Wamako of Sokoto State was kidnapped in Sokoto, on Nov. 6, by four gunmen along Kupper road and was released on Nov.11. after reports said the abductors were paid N51 million as ransom.

However, tragedy truck early hour of today, when Alhaji Dankure, was reported to have died at Uthmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto at about 3 a.m. on Friday.(Vanguard Newspaper)

Alhaji Dankure is 86 year-old and had complained of headache which eventually killed him.

He is survived by four wives and 72 children.

Until his death, he held the traditional title of Sarkin Fadan, Sarkin Musulmi. (NAN)
