Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole Presents N159bn Edo 2014 Budget to House Of Assembly


Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, on Wednesday presented a proposed budget  of N159.213bn for the year 2014, to the state House of Assembly for passage into law.
During the Presentation of the proposed 2014 fiscal plan, which the executive governor tagged ‘Budget of Renewed Hope’, Oshiomhole said it was targeted towards the completion of ongoing projects and expansion of infrastructure in the state.

The 2014 budget estimate consist of N85.595bn capital expenditure, representing 53.76 per cent of the total budget, while proposed recurrent expenditure is N73.617bn, which is 46.24 per cent of the total budget.
Also, Gov. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State on Tuesday presented a N103 billion-budget for 2014 to the state’s House of Assembly for consideration and approval while, Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State also presented a budget estimate of N93,287,000,000 for the 2014 fiscal year to the state House of Assembly.
