On the 10th of October, Tragedy struck at a traditional wedding at Ibagwa, Ezimo-Agu in Udenu Local Government Area, Enugu state when one Ozor Obodo Ezenwa, a guest, tried to stop one of the bride’s brothers, Chukwudi Adonu, from shooting another, Obinna Adonu, during a scuffle, was allegedly killed.
During a traditional marriage, an argument ensued between the two brothers, which led to a fight.
Chukwudi Adonu was said to have rushed inside, picked up a single-barreled gun with the intention to shoot his brother, the deceased tried to intervened by holding the Chukwudi Adonu but, the gun went off killing Ezenwa
Ezenwa was just about 22 years old before his untimely death.
Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased has been deposited at the Bishop Shanahan Hospital, Nsukka, mortuary.
The police in Enugu is looking into the matter.
