Genevieve Sabourin,41, year-old Canadian has been found guilty of stalking and harassment of Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria.
The convict an
aspiring Canadian actress who was sentenced to 210 days in jail said she did nothing wrong.
Alec Baldwin is an Emmy- winning actor. He won the Golden Globe and Screen
Actors Guild awards for his role on the NBC comedy series "30 Rock".
Sabourin was held
in contempt on Wednesday by Judge Robert Mandelbaum
after outbursts during the trial at New York Criminal Court in a
Lower Manhattan courtroom.
On Tuesday, Baldwin, 55, emotionally testified when he wiped away a tears as he told the
court how the Montreal actress had ruined his engagement ceremony when she unexpectedly arrived at his house
Alec however denied any personal relationship with
Sabourin and said he had never instigated email exchanges with her.
The wife of Alec, Mrs Hilaria Baldwin, who gave birth to their daughter in August, said Sabourin had harassed her relentlessly on Twitter. She cited a tweet that she said was
from Sabourin saying she would have a miscarriage. "I am terrified of her," his wife said.
Although, Sabourin friends said a stint in jail would help her acting career, only time would tell.
