A popular youth leader in Oshodi Mr. Azees Omotoso, 35-year-old man was shot dead by a
Police corporal popularly known as "Awilo".
It was gathered that fight broke out in a party that was organized in front of the deceased house at No. 28 Aina Street, Oshodi, Lagos though, he didn't attend the party, he was returning home from outside with his wife and children when one of the party fighter arrested by policemen from Shogunle Police Station, called for his intervention. Awilo was infuriated when the deceased dared to interfere in police 'work' and he shot him point blank. It was fatal shot that he bled and died shortly
Residents of the area have mobilized in protest calling on Police authorities to ensure the trigger-happy policeman is brought to justice.
