Today's Poem : Timeless

Who can analyze this poem?

Timeless

The sun will not cease to rise
Upon this rolling ball
Men fold and straighten
trying to hold or loose
Silver in the carbon night
Flame upon the sea
Rise
Prince of old
Gardener of hell
Time has no season in the clouds.

Study Shows How Mother's early menopause can affect Dauther's Fertility

A woman can predict how long she has left to conceive by checking how old her mother was at the menopause, according to researchers.
A study has found that the number of eggs a woman has left in her ovaries is lower if her mother had an early menopause.
With more women delaying motherhood to their late-30s and beyond, the chances of conceiving fall as the ovaries run down their stock of eggs.
In the UK, the average age of the menopause is 51, but hereditary  factors mean that the process can happen earlier in some women than in others.
Previous studies have found a link between the age at menopause among mothers and daughters.
But the latest research suggests scientists can provide a way of predicting the number of eggs left – the fertility window or ovarian reserve – in younger women.
Danish scientists looked at two physical markers of ovarian reserve and found they fell faster in those whose mothers had an early menopause.

The Palaver Over New Jet For Governor Amaechi and Akpabio

Akpabio

Amaechi
THE recent acquisition of private jets by the governments of Rivers and Akwa Ibom states is as reckless as it is highly insensitive. The massive waste of money is coming at a time when the rate of poverty and deprivation is worsening in the country. It is indefensible for state governors to add acquisition of jets to the life of luxury they are already known for. State Houses of Assembly should check such executive excesses.

The Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, was reported to have taken delivery of a brand new Bombardier Global 5000 (N565RS) on October 7, 2012. Earlier in June this year, Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State also reportedly acquired a new $45m Gulfstream jet. Initial media reports indicated that the Rivers State government purchased the jet for $45.7m from Bombardier Inc of Canada for Amaechi's personal use. But the state government later denied buying any new jet, claiming that the reported jet had been bought two years ago at a cost of $45m after trading off two older state-owned aircraft – Dash 8 and the Embraer jet. It said the jet was not for Amaechi's exclusive use.

Barack Obama has Won Re-election Into US White House

Barack Obama, the America's first black President  has won re-election into the white house of United State Of America. The election which was closely contested by the Republican candidate, Romney was won by Obama in Ohio, securing about 290 electoral votes (twenty times more than he needed) to Romney's 201. He defeated Romney in key states.

Governor Romney was popularly seen in  the race as a white kid, and with all his white folks around during campaign, it became obvious that he was playing some unrepentant white supremacy agenda as against Obama who identified with all colors of American.  Of course, one with God is majority.
Hope and anxiety will finally calm.

Nigeria Police In Lagos State Brutalised an Okada Man and Stripped Naked

Some policemen yesterday beat up an unidentified okada rider and stripped him naked at the junction of University Road and St. Finbarr’s College Road in Akoka, Lagos on Wednesday.
The policemen who were in mufti laid ambush in a van with registration number NPF9544B and pounced on the okada rider immediately they saw him, beat him mercilessly and later asked him to take all his clothes off.
An eyewitness told our correspondent  that he was dumbfounded at the inhumane behaviour of the policemen adding that the okada rider did not resist arrest.
This is dehumanizing. Is it right for the so called law enforcement agent to act in a barbaric manner ?
Is this right? How long can we continue like this?
