It was learnt that the kidnappers refused to release her after receiving the ransom and was later found dead along Okhuahe Hill Benin city, three days later with injuries on her body.

The Commissioner for Basic Education, Patrick Aguinede, has already confirmed the figure of the sacked teachers.
He stated that the exercise was necessary, after a screening exercise carried out by the state government.
He said those sacked were found to have spent more than the maximum years in service, mentally unstable, physically
blind and have falsified their age and credentials.
"The teachers were found to have stayed above 35 years. Some were physically blind,
some manipulated their results and age which later showed they finished school before
they were born," Aguinede said.
The affected teachers were said to have known about their sack after they discovered that their names were missing from the December salary voucher.
The state secretary of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Akin Adeojo, said the union had heard about the
sack, adding that the affected teachers had not been issued sack letters.
He said the NUT would access the situation before taking any
decision, adding that the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) would resist the victimisation of any teacher. (Tribune)

Chibuike Israel,a 28 year–old pastor, was arraigned yesterday before an Ejigbo Magistrate's Court in Lagos,for allegedly having unlawful carnal knowledge and stealing the sum of N250.
The accused, who resides at the Ijegun area of Lagos, is facing three-count charge of sexual assault, stealing and obtaining by false pretences.
Nonso Egbuzobi, 28 -year-old member of a robbery gang, responsible for various robbery of ATM in Lagos metropolis has been arrested.
In one of the attacks, three policemen were killed while attempting to break into an Automated Teller
Machine, ATM, of a second generation bank in Ayobo area of the state in November.

The magistrate of Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court Mr. E.O Ogunkanmi has ordered the remand of Eji Emmanuel, a 22-year-old man, for DPP advice over the murder of one Chief Sylvanus Okoye, 39 by the said said accuse.

Some days ago, we reported how a week old baby was stolen from his mother in Bokkos Local Government Area Jos.
The Plateau State Police command, yesterday, paraded the woman that stole the seven-day old baby.
From facts available, the criminal who is also a member of health worker, did not act alone in stealing the baby. Her accomplice Mrs Chundung Lagi Jugu, who had faked a pregnancy to con her husband for seven months made the arrangement with her to steal the baby to perfect the fake pregnancy into reality.
An estate agent, Mr. Adegboyega has been found dead in his office at Odugbuwa Street, Bariga area of Lagos State last week .
The decomposing corpse of the estate agent was discovered by his wife and neighbours in his office.
The discovery was made possible by his wife who was in search of her husband after the husband failed to show up at home as usual.
According to Mrs. Adegboyega, her husband failed to show up at his Mowe home as was his practice every weekend.

Eyewitnesses that a petrol tanker discharging gasoline exploded at the Conoil gas station opposite the NNPC building in Abuja.
