A 13-year-old girl, Precious Edu, has accused the brother-in law of her employer of pouring hot water on her.

Edu, who said she was denied the opportunity of attending school after she was brought to work with Esther Amunde and her brother-in-law, Papa, in Calabar, Cross River State, said Papa poured the water on her after accusing her of splashing water on him.

So, They Are Now Lagos.?

Fear gripped many residents of Lagos on Thursday when news filtered in that troops numbering about 100 stormed terror suspects’ hideouts in Ijora, a densely populated part of the city.

The soldiers, who were assisted by men of the State Security Service, were believed to have acted on a tip-off. They were said to have arrived in the area around 7am in search of the suspects said to be members of an Islamic fundamentalist sect, Boko Haram.

In the ongoing search to find a cure for HIV/AIDS, scientists believe they have come up with a groundbreaking new procedure to help stop the spread of the global pandemic.
Scientists at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis believe that chemicals found in bee stings can destroy the virus, preventing it from becoming AIDS. According to the Midwestern school's doctors the nanoparticles carrying the toxin -- called melittin -- destroys HIV, while leaving surrounding cells unharmed.

Why Nigeria House of Representatives Despirately Need Immunity

Chairman of the House Committee on Justice, Ali Ahmed and Ralph Igbokwe of the Nigeria House of Representatives had on Thursday sponsored a motion seeking immunity for lawmaker  against civil or criminal prosecution for their acts in office as representaives. If the bill scale through, it would grant lawmakers immunity from standing trial for civil and criminal charges for acts committed in the course of performing their official functions.
