FivE cars including two Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) were destroyed yesterday following a bomb explosion in the vicinity of Crystal Lounge, a popular night club in Abuja situated on Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse II in Abuja.
FCT Police Commissioner Aderele Shinaba confirmed that there was an explosion around midnight but said "I am going there now. It is too early to make comment."
He later said that the bomb was thrown from a moving vehicle by a man driving on the opposite lane close to Etisalat office. "No casualty was recorded apart from the two SUVs that had their windshields and other glasses shattered by the blast."
Weekly Trust reporter who visited the area said he saw security operatives at the scene searching for clues.
