Mohammed Sajid Khan, 33 and his wife His wife Shasta Khan, 38, who formed a "terrorist partnership" and plotted deadly attacks on Jewish communities have been sentenced to prison .
Mohammed Sajid Khan was given an indeterminate sentence for the
public's protection with a minimum term of seven years and six months.while wife Shasta Khan, was sentenced to eight years imprisonment.
Shasta Khan is a hairdresser and had two failed marriages before becoming radicalized by Al Qaeda and inspired by Osama Bin Laden after she met ex-car
valeter Mohammed Khan on an introduction site named ''Single Muslim''
because she was looking to marry the ''Islamic way.''
The Court was informed that, the Couple bought substances from
supermarkets to assemble an improvised explosive device and planned to target Manchester's Jewish community. Unfortunately for them, the God who protects innocent lives exposed the couple deadly plan when police were called to a domestic
dispute at their home and found a cache of terror-related material.
Justice Wilkie of Manchester Crown Court, while delivery judgment told Khan he had been a "committed Islamic extremist".
He added: "I am satisfied that before too long you would have been in
a position to launch a deadly attack." Khan was judged to be "a
significant risk" to the public.
