Rev. David Ugolor who was fingered in the Death of Oshiohmole Aide, Comrade Oyerinde, was today granted bail in the Benin Criminal High Court One. The summon to Admit to Bail filed and moved by the Accused/Applicant's counsel, a SAN who led Mr. Afolabi and two other lawyers, was granted in the sum of N1m with one surety in like sum, who must be resident within jurisdiction and should be recommended by a lawyer. In spite of the spirited effort by the sate counsel, Mr. Adekumbi to oppose the application for Bail moved by a SAN, the court was of the view that the nexus between David Ugolor and others suspects in the case borders on conspiracy which is a bailable offence, consequently, David Ugolor's application for bailed succeeded amidst jubilation by his fans and family.
Meanwhile, the court also granted bail to the driver who was involved in the accident with Governor Oshiomhole convoy during the governorship campaign along Auchi road. The Lawyer to the Accused Applicant, Barrister Esenalumen, the current NBA chairman, Benin Chapter, told the court that the health of the accused applicant was deteroriating.
