Wasiu Yusuf, a 30-year-old panel beater, has been arrested by the
police in Ogun State for allegedly stabbing his friend, Adeolu Olatoye, to death in Abeokuta over allegation of unholy affair with the killer's wife.
The dastard act was carried out by Wasiu Yusuf and his accomplice, one Mukaila Popoola, who is currently on the run.

Olatoye disclosed the deceased, Olatoye had gone to his friend’s room on the
middle floor of the two-storey building they both occupy as tenants, to give him an invitation card
for his mother’s 80th birthday scheduled to hold on Saturday when the
suspect allegedly attacked him with broken bottles.
Police sources disclosed that during
interrogation, the suspect allegedly confessed to attacking the deceased
when he visited his wife in their matrimonial home.
The suspect was said to have further
claimed that the victim mistakenly stabbed himself during a scuffle
between them while attempting to escape from his room. According to Punch
The fact still remains that the deceased met his untimely death in the hands of the suspect.
The Police have also arrested the suspect’s wife, Mrs. Busayo Wasiu Yusuf, 26-year-old, who is seen as the reason the killing took place.
Confirming the incident, the acting
State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the police
were investigating the incident.
