Pastor Chibuike Israel Arraigned For Having Unlawful Sex Of A 9 Months Pregnant Woman

Chibuike Israel,a 28 year–old pastor, was arraigned yesterday before an Ejigbo Magistrate's Court in Lagos,for allegedly having unlawful carnal knowledge and stealing the sum of N250.

The accused, who resides at the Ijegun area of Lagos, is facing three-count charge of sexual assault, stealing and obtaining by false pretences.

17 Boko Haram Terrorists Arraigned In Lagos


17 suspected members of the Islamic fundamentalist sect, Boko Haram, were arranigned before Justice Ibrahim Buba of Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday.
The Boko Haram terrorist pleaded not guilty to the seven counts of terrorism acts, possession of prohibited firearms and ammunition preferred against them.

The EFCC recorded a landmark victory on Monday when the court An Ikeja High Court agreed with their submissions and sentenced an estate agent, Michael Olabameji, to 15 years imprisonment for defrauding 100 accommodation seekers of N29.8 million.

Saheed Sogaji From Cotonou Gets 21 Years Imprisonment For Snatching A Bike



On Friday, one Saheed Sogaji, 28, from Cotonou was sentenced to 21 years imprisonment by an Ibadan High Court for conspiring and robbing a man of a motorcycle.

Barrister Omoniyi Ebenezer, Arraigned For Fraud, Forgery and Stealing In Ibadan.


One barrister Omoniyi Ebenezer, a practicing lawyer base in Ibadan was today arraigned for an offence of forgery and fraud at Chief Magistrate's Court, of the state.
Other offence Omoniyi, who is 49, was charged include obtaining money under false pretences, stealing and forgery. He was said to have conspired with one Rufai Ajadi, now at large, to commit the crime.

Mustapher Umar, the alleged kingpin of the Boko Haram sect that masterminded the bombing of the office of Thisday Newspaper in Kaduna State with 12 camp gas cylinders, has been sentence to life imprisonment by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

Lance Corporal Liam Culverhouse, A British Soldier, Faces Jail For killing His Own Daughter


Lance Corporal Liam Culverhouse is facing jail after he admitted killing his 19-month-old daughter.
In 2009 as British soldier in Afghanistan, was said to have survived an attack that left five of his comrades dead when a renegade Afghan policeman opened fire at a checkpoint in Helmand Province. Lance Corporal
He managed to escaped with his life by playing dead while the gunman stood over him. However, he lost his right eye in the incident.

Katsina APC Lawmakers Battered Each Other Over Court Order


Following the  November 1 Court of Appeal ruling which faulted the retrieval of Certificates of Return of 10 lawmakers from the state and issuance of new ones to another set of lawmakers from the state who were presently occupying lawmaking position in the National Assembly, some Kastina lawmakers, on Wednesdy, engaged themselves a rumble style, using chairs to crack heads.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja had on Friday had ordered that  INEC  reinstate those sacked by Independent National Electoral Commission in December 2011. The affected Law Members are Senators Abdu Umar Yandoma and Ahmad Sani Stores; those from the House are:  Murtala Isa, Muntari Dandutse, Musa Salisu, Aminu Ashiru and Umar Adamu Katsayal, Muhammad Tukur, Tasi’u Doguro, and Abdu Dankama.

Australia Highest Court Denies Civil Servant Compensation For Injury Substained During Sex Bout


On Wednesday a Court in Australia ruled that a civil servant injured during a hotel-room sex romp during a business trip in 2007 was not entitled to workers’ compensation.

The  legal battle which has been on  for six years was finally decided on Wednesday when the court decided  whether injuries sustained when a glass light fitting was pulled from a wall were work-related.
According to Vanguard  Newspapers, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal first denied compensation on the grounds that the civil servant’s injuries were not work-related.

The deportees are Nnenna Ogbonna, Joseph Aniebonam, Osondu Mbuto, Osondu Agwu, Emily Okoroariri, Friday Ndukwe and Onyeka Ugwu instituted the action on behalf of the 76 others as Applicants, while the Attorney-General of Lagos State and the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State are the respondents.

Mu’azu Lawali, A Butcher, Setenced To 4 Years In Prison For Raping an 11 -Year- Old Girl

Yesterday in Nasarawa State, Mr. Vincent Gwehemba, the president of an Upper Area Court in Mararaba area of the state, sentenced one Mu’azu Lawali, a 27-year-old butcher, to four years imprisonment without option of fine for raping a minor.

Mu’azu Lawali was convicted for having unlawful carnal knowledge of an 11 -year-old girl.

The victim's parents reported the matter to the Masaka police station around October 4.
On arraignment by the prosecutor, Inspector Joseph Ahua, the accused plead guilty to the charge and was sentenced accordingly.

Abdullahi Abubakar To die By Hanging- Zamfara High Court Judge


One Abdullahi Abubakar 37, has been sentenced to death by hanging for the murder of his step-daughter.
The High of Talata Mafar, Zamfara passed the sentence yesterday. The Judge while delivery the judgement said that Abdullahi Abubakar is to be hanged in the neck until he is certified dead
Abdullahi Abubakar hailed from Tungar miya village in the Talata Mafara Local Government Area. He was arraigned in August 2008 for poisoning his step- daughter food with Germaline.

One Barrister Mrs Ijeoma Micah, of Micah and Micah Chambers was found dead, with body mutilated in her chamber in the highbrow Maitama area of Abuja, on Sunday.
It was her husband who just returned from London on Sunday that found the mutilated in her office when he learnt that his wife had been missing for three days.

Apple has Filed Appeal To Overturn ebook Prices Fixing Verdict



Report reaching us shows that Apple has filed its appeal against federal judge Denise Cote’s verdict in the ebook pricing case. Apple seeks to overturn Judge Cote’s July verdict that it was guilty of conspiring with publishers to fix ebook prices, as well as the September 6 injunction that prohibits Apple from including most-favored-nation clauses in its ebook contracts for five years and requires it to be monitored by a court-appointed external monitor.
The notice of the appeal was filed with the Second Circuit Court of Appeals late Thursday but the appeal itself is not yet publicly available.
