The Supreme Court, on the 14th day of April 2014, voided the Igbo customary law, which denies daughters inheriting their fathers’ estate. The Supreme Court said it was discriminatory and in conflict with the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Ondo State Permanent Secretary Caught Performing Ritual.
A Serving Permanent Secretary in Ondo State( name withheld) and eight other persons were arrested by the State Police Command around 3.00 am for performing rituals.
The raid by armed gangs of a commercial bank in Ikere Ekiti last Thursday led to the arrest of the ritualist.

Oba Adebiyi Adesida, The Deji Of Akure is Dead
The monarch died on Sunday around 4am as a result of an unknown complication.
Ona Adebiyi died at 63-year-old.
He became Oba about three years ago after his predecessor was deposed as a result of a street fight with one of the former monarch's wives.

Mr. Sanni Idowu Has Been Arraigned For Raping His Daughter Repeatedly.
Mr. Sanni Idowu, 48 year-old man,living at Ifedapo Amuloko area of Ibadan, has been
Charged to a magistrate court for raping his daughter repeatedly. The amoral rapist was said to have de-virgin his daughter when she was 10 years old. The girl is now 15 years and he didn't stop the rape, rather, he threatened to killed her if she ever spill his evil act.
He was however arrested on the 15th October 2013 and charged to court. When the charged was read, he pleaded not guilty
to the charges.

Oyediran ordered that the accused be remanded in Agodi Prison,Ibadan while the case was adjourned to
December 9 for hearing.

Salah Celebration: Lagos State Minitstry Of Enviroment Have Arrested and Detained Salah Rams
Rams on display for sale in an alleged prohibited area of Lagos state were arrested and detained by Officials of Lagos State Environment and Special Offences Enforcement Unit yesterday.
According to Vanguard Newspaper report: the task force had chased the ram sellers, who converged at Ijora-Olopa area, and carted their rams to an unknown detention centre.
The owners of the rams claimed they were unaware that the place was prohibited and also claimed they were not forewarned.

Government bans Ombatse cult group
The Nasarawa State Government has banned the activities of Ombatse Cult group in the state.
This was revealed, yesterday, during the on-gong hearing by the Commission of Inquiry into the activities of Ombatse which reportedly massacred over 120 security men including policemen and operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, in Lafia, the state capital.

A Man Arraigned For Raping His 60 year Old Mother
do-Ekiti — An Ado-Ekiti Magistrate Court in Ekiti State, yesterday, remanded one Akintunde Omotehinde, 27, in prison custody for allegedly raping his 60-year-old mother.
Prosecutor Ebenezer Ewuola told the court that the accused committed the offence on August 23, in Ajebamidele Area of Ado-Ekiti.
He claimed that the accused ‘forcefully and unlawfully’ had carnal knowledge of his mother, which led to her being hospitalised.
He added that on the same date, the accused assaulted and inflicted injuries on one, Isiaka Ojo, who attempted to separate him from his mother during the act.

Nollywood Star, RMD, Wanted by EFCC For Stealing
According to Daily Times Newspaper, The Commissioner of culture and tourism Delta State, Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over embezzlement of N50 million. Philo Nkem Ajufo, the acting General Manager of Delta State Tourism Board,
