EFCC Arrests Prof. Charles Soludo

Report reaching us says that, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC)operative has just arrested Prof Charles Soludo, Former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, at his Abuja residence over allegation of contract scam. 
 
The controversial contract for the printing of polymer currency notes was awarded to an Australian firm while he was governor of the CBN between 2006 and 2008.

A Man Murders 4 Months Old Son For Rituals

One Chief Hosea Folorunsho of Egbe town, Yagba West local government council has been arrested by members of the police command in Kogi state allegedly killing four months old son for ritual purpose.

Jail Break: About 20 inmates escape in Sagamu Prison


On Wednesday at Sagamu prison in Ogun state about 20 inmates, in an attempt jail break, escaped from prison, while several others were reported to have been shot in the melee.

The incident occurred at about 3am.
Some of the prisoners who had fled in confusion were reported to have returned on their own. Some have been arrested by the police and are questioning some warders.

Marriage For Sale: Zamfara Govt In The Market for husbands for 2000 widows


The Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Hajia Balkisu Bungudu of Zamfara State government has announced to the public that government of Zamfara is planning to ''arrange husbands'' for about 2,000 widows in the state.

She said so many widows have already registered for the event.
The Commissioner did not disclose how much of tax payers money government is going to spend to purchase husbands for the 2000 widows.

Mr. Ikechi Okoro, a 28-year-old man,  naval rating, was alleged to have killed Chidera Timothy with a bottle over an N800 debt his brother owes the girl’s mother.

What Nigerians Want President Jonathan Do

Recently, last year,  ACN accused President Jonathan of giving Nigerian fake promises. That was a political party. Now, the Nigerian youths have come out bold and smoking this 2013, to demand that president Jonathan make good his promises by delivery, among others, electricity {click fordetail,} which, during campain for office, he promised to declare a state of emergency on. The youths have also asked for security against Boko Haram, kidnappers and other, and they want employment.

From these demands, has the president delivered on his promises to Nigeria?
