One Oluwaseun Oluwatoba and his wife, Omolara, who killed a three months old baby girl of a co-tenant while fighting have been ordered to be remanded in prison custody by Chief Magistrate sitting in Akure Magistrate Court.
The little girl named Roseline Adebisi was allegedly killed with a hard object. The offence is contrary to and punishable under section 324 of the Criminal Code cap 37 laws of Ondo State 2006.
The incident was said to have occurred at Ajebandele Street, Akure where the couple and the parents of the deceased are co-tenants.
They accused were charged to court on Wednesday 19th December.
The prosecutor ,Adejuwon, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) prayed that the couple be remanded in prison custody to enable him duplicate the case file to the Ministry of Justice for legal advice.
Chief Magistrate Omotosho Akinyele, granted the prayer of the prosecutor and ordered that the couple be remanded in prison custody.
