Mr James Dantay, 42-year-old man, and an assistant headmaster of Jibril Aminu Primary School, Bauchi has been arrested by Bauchi State Police command for allegedly raping a nine-year-old pupil of the school.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP, Haruna Mohammed,has confirmed the arrest and investigation of the matter.
Information gathered shows that the victim who is a pupil of Jibril Aminu Primary school was raped by their assistant headmaster after school hours.
According to source: “When the girl got home, her parents became suspicious of their daughter’s disposition and decided to investigate it.
“After interrogation, they discovered that she was raped by the assistant headmaster.” (Vanguard)
The victim has been taken to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi for medical examination.
