A housewife simply called Mariam has been arrested for the murder of her husband at Oloje area of Ilorin. It was gathered that argument over N100 led to the death of the man.
The deceased, before his death was bricklayer husband.
Their marriage between them has been rocking following the death of four of all Mariam's Children. Ached by this and other irreconcilable differences, she left the matrimonial home for a long time, only to return recently.
Yesterday, Mariam demanded for N100 from her husband which the later could not give her. This resulted in a hot argument. The excused of the husband angered the wife. In that rage, she picked a stick and hit the husband on his head and he fainted.He was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital where he was pronounced dead.
On hearing the news of her husband's death, she locked herself up in a room and inflicted wounds on her body using a razor blade. Residents of Oloje had to break open the door to rescue, and they dragged her out naked and handed her over to the police
